From 2012 to 2015 we cooperated with partners from the CyanoFactory consortium. CyanoFactory was a FP7 European research project on synthetic biology approaches to hydrogen production in cyanobacteria.

We also have common interests with the research group of Prof. Aleš Podgornik (Dept. of Chemical Engineering) on microalgal biotechnology and with the group of Prof. Bojan Sedmak (National Institute of Biology, Ecotoxicology Group) on cyanobacterial biology and biochemistry.

Industry partners:

Our primary SME partner is Algen with the main focus on algal wastewater purification plants but also with other algal biotech interests. As well, we are in contacts with other Slovenian companies with interest in algal biotechnology.
